We have two set of thanks addressed to club members, from Simpson's Hospital following the Joe Daly Memorial Cycle Rally, and Jen Sheridan after the International Track GP.

Firstly, from the Friends of Simpson's Hospital:

Thank you for organising and marshalling the Joe Daly Memorial Cycle on Sunday 29th June, it was a great success and enjoyed by everyone. To date we have raised in excess of €2500.

All donations received are put towards the comfort of our residents.

Thank you for your continued support.

This follows the other club messages from Bernadette Tansey-Daly and Club President Dave Tansey.

Jen Sheridan also wishes to extend her gratitude to club members Brian Ahern, Brian McArdle, Daniel McElroy, David Hendron, David Maher, Liam Rowsome, Stephen McNally and Stephen O'Shea for their assistance during the recent International Track GP. The meet at Sundrive Road was a great success, thanks to help from volunteers across the board.

Special mentions also to Marie Murnane for cakes and sandwiches, and David Swift for photos. Regular Orwell track competitors Jack Rice, Conor Murnane, and Sean Murnane were active throughout the day as well, and Naoise Sheridan was on hand as a fantastic podium girl. Brother Fionn Sheridan put in some gutsy performances, and we'll have more on that later, while Uisneach helped out with the fundraising.

The club spirit on display over the weekend was matched only by Jen's hard work in the preparation, running and finishing up of the weekend - she put in a gutsy performance at all times, and deserves a trophy for her efforts!
