They say no to padded shorts, ugly lycra and jostling at traffic lights.
Yes to removable baskets for your handbag, lightweight gloves and rainmac for winter (the last bit will help you to get hypothermia I would think).
Still it bothers me to see so many women wearing absolutely horrid clothes while cycle commuting. Why do people wear those hi-viz vests flapping over rucksacks (it makes them look like a certain resident of a famous Parisian cathedral) - that together with price tags on the soles of your shoes has to be the most horrible thing in fashion ;-)

2010 London Tweed Run: Cycling enthusiasts wearing vintage or vintage inspired 30' and 40's Daywear cycle through London. Excerpt here:
'Under cloudless skies, 400 dapper gents and dashing ladies set out from the Rootstein Hopkins Parade Grounds at the Chelsea College of Art & Design for a lovely 12 mile jaunt through the capital, stopping off along the way at Geo F. Trumpers for a Best Moustache prize, in Kensington Gardens for a spot of tea (accompanied by a three-piece string orchestra), H Huntsman & Sons for the best outfits prizes and then heading to The Bathhouse in Bishopsgate for a party that included entertainment by Mr B The Gentleman Rhymer, Top Shelf Jazz, DJ Tom Kerwin and our lovely team of swing dancers. All in all, an absolutely spiffing day out! See the gallery for more photos'
