Volunteers wanted - Women's Crit League was created by Brian Mc
Mags and Orla have asked me to post here to recruit some volunteers for the upcoming crit league. This takes place on Tuesday nights over the next six weeks. They need marshals for the first round, and the last two - the road race and the two time trials. Round 1 is next Tuesday 7th!

If you can help any night, please get in touch with Mags:

.

This league has been run annually for several years now. The club has a great tradition of supporting women's racing, and providing an entry point for beginners and novices into the sport. If you're not working Tuesday nights, please give an hour of your time for the club which gives you so much!

A bump for this.

We're short on marshals for next Tuesday's road race. As stated above, we've got a great track record in promoting women's racing within the club, and would really like to see this continue. If you can help at all please contact myself (

) or Mags (

)

Remember that Orwell is a club run entirely by volunteers. If you haven't had a chance to contribute on the committee or similar, this is your chance to do your part and go the extra mile. It's a couple of hours on a Tuesday evening, so if you've no pressing commitments, please come out and support our women.

There's also a TT the following week which will require a few extra hands, if you're away next week.

Thanks to those who came out to help tonight - I know I saw Daniel McElroy, Paul Brosnan, Lorraine Flood, Mike Hanley and Tony Walsh. There were probably others that I didn't see or couldn't name, fair play! Great to see Mary Brady out supporting as well! We got a lovely bright evening despite the threat of rain.

Along with the regular crew of Mags Donnelly and Orla Hendron, and Jen Sheridan with her usual supply of cakes and sambos and very welcome hot tea afterwards! And on her birthday too!

Next week is the final round - a repeat of the opening out and back TT. Volunteers would be welcome if you've got a free evening next Tuesday.
