Orwell Beginner Ladies - from 0km to 600km was created by Stephen Kerr
Four of the beginner ladies who joined Orwell at the end of last year - Grainne McAleese, Dee Currid, Deirdre O'Connor and Kathryn O'Connor - are taking on their biggest cycling challenge yet by cycling 600km+ from San Sebastian to Barcelona in September to raise funds for the Peter McVerry Trust, which does a huge amount of work in providing support services to tackle homelessness. Their final fundraiser event is a Table Quiz & Raffle on Wednesday, August 26th in Doheny & Nesbitts on Baggot St from 7.30pm. All participants involved in this cycle pay their own costs so every cent raised goes directly to the charity. Further details in the attached flyer.

It would be great if you can lend support to the Orwell Ladies & a great cause by attending the event or contributing to the charity page www.mycharity.ie/event/grainne_mcaleeses_event/. Please contact Grainne McAleese (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) to book a table at the quiz night.

Having cycled with these very fine young ladies from April to June with certainty they will undertake this challenge with great aplomb! Good luck on your trip and happy to support.
