Newcomer Tries Out for Development Squad

Orwell neophyte Lyndsey Rankin has impressed all with her ability in training so far this winter and the former runner tested her progress at the Cycling Ireland Irish Development camp in Westport last weekend.

Rankin is hoping that her form will be good enough to earn a spot on the women's development team for this year. A full report on the camp which attracted 80 riders from all over the island can be found at http://www.irishcycling.com/publish/news/art_4561.shtml

Meanwhile, six Orwell youth riders have been selected by Cycling Leinster to take part in the Irish youth training camp in Castlebar on the 20th and 21st of this month.

Craig Arrigan, Sean McKenna and Fionn Sheridan(U16), and Daragh Long, Ronan ÓhÁllĂșin and Aoife Sheridan(U14) are heading to Mayo on Saturday week with high hopes of making a favourable impression on the Irish selectors.
