The May bank holiday weekend saw another very successful running of the Orwell Randonnée, and once more members of the organising committee met recent with our chosen charity, the Ross Nugent Foundation, to present the proceeds.

We once again chose to support the Ross Nugent Foundation which was set up by Don and Sandra Nugent following the tragic death of their son Ross. The charity raises money to buy equipment for oncology wards in Beaumont and other hospitals, a goal Ross never had the chance to realise.

Despite rising costs, the Randonnée managed to raise €2,000 for this very worthwhile and local charity, and the organisers look forward to working with the group next year.
