The Women's Commission of Cycling Ireland in conjunction with the Road Commission (RC) are putting a development programme in place for women in 2011. As part of this programme, the RC are organising a development camp in Cork for men and women on the weekend of the 27-28th of November.
This weekend is an opportunity for women of all levels who are interested in becoming a squad member for 2011.

Women's cycling in Ireland is more popular than ever
Sport is about participation and achieving goals. The best time for a competitive cyclist to set their goals is in the off-season. Preparation and consistency are key factors in achieving your goals.
By attending this training camp, you are affording yourself the opportunity to prepare for the upcoming season. At this camp, the Women's Commission will be discussing the development programme for 2011 and therefore it is vital that you attend this camp to be considered part of the programme for the upcoming year.
You will also be given the opportunity to have a Q&A session with Philip Deignan, full time Pro with Cervelo.
There will also be some of the members from the men's development squad at the camp discussing their experiences, the workings of the squad, expectations of squad members and the results of the squad for 2010.
In short, 2011 is going to be a great year for women's cycling, especially with the 25th anniversary of the prestigious Rás na mBan.
