This year's road trip: Mallorca
If you are wanting to get ready for one of the year's sportive events like the Tour of Kildare, Tour of Leinster or Wicklow 200, then come out and join the touring group.
New members are welcome from October to March. We start in October with leisurely spins of 60-80km (coffee stop included) and build up the distance and speed after Christmas. After March, new members may find it difficult to keep up, so if you would like to join us at this time, you must be confident enough in your fitness that you won't be left behind. If you don't think you're up to the task, be sure to come out with us next autumn. You will be able to build your fitness gradually and take part in some of the following year's sportives with other members of the touring group.
The Saturday cycle leaves from Joe Daly Cycles in Dundrum (just under the LUAS bridge). The meeting time will generally be between 8:30am and 9:30am, depending on the length of ride we're doing, so get on the mailing list to be sure of when you need to be there.
For the longer days this summer, we are adding a mid-week spin. We will meet Wednesdays at 6:30pm at Lambs Cross. It will be shortish spin with the possibility of a few hills being thrown in. Again, get on the mailing list in case of start time or location changes.
Many of us do the Sunday club cycle as well. This leaves at 9:30am from Joe Daly's and aims to be back about 1:00pm.
