Gerry Brannigan 2016 - 18th October 2015

That time of year is approaching fast, with the Gerry Brannigan being the last event of the season that the club helps run. As always the Road Club will be doing the admin and we will be providing the marshals.

This year it's to be the 18th of October, with start time listed as 10:15. in all other regards (i.e. route and raffle) it is to be identical to last year. Information available at www.orwellwheelers.org/events/gerry-bran...-memorial-cycle-2016

Dave Mc is acting as chief marshal, and is looking for approximately 25 to 30 marshals for this. If anyone wants to drive out as a static marshal they will be very welcome, but the plan will be to have the usual marshals ride about 15 minutes ahead of the bunch and drop marshals off at each corner, so everyone will get to ride.

It's for a great cause, and always a friendly event, and unlike when marshalling many other events, you're not stuck on a corner for 2-3 hours - it's literally a max of 15mins before the bunch arrives. Once they've passed through safely, you jump on the back of the marshal bus behind the ambulance and cycle the rest of the route back to base.
