Crash / Accident / Cyclist down - what to do?

The sound of metal hitting the ground behind you and thinking are you next.
Or the sight of a friend and club mate going down just in front of you, can you avoid them.

Hopefully you have not been involved in any such events but these are the dreaded fears we all take with us each time we go for a cycle.

So when an accident happens do you know what to do

• Just stand there someone else will deal with it.
• Drag the injured party to the side of the road, let’s keep the traffic moving
• Ring a friend and ask what to do next
• Or take decisive action yourself.

The last option is the only route for you to take. But what exactly is the correct action?

To help us all answer this question I have arranged a talk, to be given by Paul Tansey (club member and Paramedic) on how we can deal with these situations on a cycle.

The talk will take place in BCS on Monday 20th February and start at 7:30pm.

This will be a much sought after evening and will no doubt fill up fast. To ensure we can facilitate everyone if you are interested please reply to this thread to let me know how many will be attending.
