Dear Cyclist,

I am e-mailing you as a participant of the 2016 European Cycling Challenge, to tell you that the Challenge is back and starts this Monday, running for all of May! We hope that you will sign up again to make this year’s challenge even bigger and better!

In 2016 over 1,050 Dubliners supported by 51 organisations, cycled over 108,000kms to 13th place in the European Cycling Challenge. This was your shared achievement, and a superb one for a first time entry. This year, let’s do this and more in 2017!

So what do you need to do?
Simply sign up again, log your trips during May, and let’s get cycling in Dublin noticed. It doesn’t matter whether you cycle just 5km, or 500kms over the next month, every km counts!
The goal is to get out and just enjoy the cycling you do. We will have cycle related prizes as well as fun weekly spot prizes, some for sharable participant photos and creative text entries, and others as part of random draws!

Sign up now, and if you get a friend signed up too you can enter a draw for one of three X-Mini Click Wireless Speakers, as well as a t-shirt for both you and your friend. Simply enter your names by at the link removed (forum doesnt like too many links)

You can register for the challenge through the App or through the website (see below). We recommend the App as it will also track your trips once the challenge starts.

To Register through the FREE Naviki App:
Follow these simple steps below and with a little patience, your effort in singing up should pay off. A visual user guide for registering with the App can also be found here: cyclingchallenge.eu/users-guide

A) Download the App from Google Play, iTunes or Microsoft

B) Register via settings for Naviki (remember your USERNAME)

C) Click on the confirmation link e-mailed to you

D) Log in (using your USERNAME not your e-mail), go to SETTINGS and tap ‘CONTESTS’ and then ‘ECC2017’; and swipe the ‘I’m participating’ button to join your City, your workplace Sub-team (if participating) and the Local Authority Area that you live in. Note - If your workplace is not listed, and would like it to be, get in touch and I can add you in.

To register through the website go to cyclingchallenge.eu/subscribe. You can then also log trips manually or upload gps files or inserting tracks manually – for more info on this click cyclingchallenge.eu/naviki

We would be delighted if you can help in any small way to get the message out. More information and useful resources including posters etc. can be found on our own website www.cyclechallenge.ie. We still have printed posters available here, so get in touch if you would like some.

Happy Cycling!
