Awards Night - Christmas Party - It's in Wezz was created by Colm Featherstone
This year we are combining the annual Awards Night with the Christmas Party, we hope that there will be a great turnout.

It’s on Saturday the 30th of November at the newly renovated Old Wesley Rugby club in Donnybrook, it will be like a trip down memory lane for some members, some good some bad :)

I hope you can make it.

Keep the votes coming in:

SPIRIT OF LEISURE AWARD 2019

So many members contribute to making Orwell Wheelers the great club we are proud to be a part of.

Each year through the Spirit of Leisure award, the Leisure committee gets the chance to recognise the special contribution of one such member to our Club Leisure cycling activities. Someone who has gone above and beyond to help their club and club mates, and who epitomises the club’s values.

Last year Rachel McCluskey and Clare Keogh were voted joint winners.

LEISURE ROOKIES OF THE YEAR.[/color]

Technically a rookie is a beginner, a starter, somebody that is just doing or trying something for the first time.
On the leisure side of the club we like to honour our rookies. However, in honouring them it’s not just the trying something for the first time that is to be honoured: but to recognise those who have given something back to their club and club mates and, who have integrated well into the club and who seem to understand the spirit of group and club cycling.
“Last year’s rookies were Peter MGrath and Leisure Committee member Valerie Plant”.
In simple words they are examples of a good club member.
