For those interested in the 150 training group, please see as follows;

1. Who’s it for?

This group plugs a gap between the Orwell 100 and the Orwell 200 training groups and is aimed at the following typical rider profile:
• YELLOW paced riders planning to do 140-160km events during 2020
• Already comfortable cycling in a group at yellow pace for 90kms (or more)
• Have participated in Orwell spins over the winter
• Motivated and committed to training consistently over the training period
• Up for a bit of craic!

The group will travel at the pace of the slowest rider. In true Orwell tradition, nobody will be left behind!

2. The Program

Weekend group spin (organised)
• Every Saturday morning
• Gather at Buglers Pub car park (on Ballyboden Road) in Rathfarnham by 08:15 am latest
• There will be a short pre-spin briefing. We will be rolling out at 08:20 am sharp
• 4 ½ - 6 hours including coffee stop (90 – 120km)
Mid-week training (in your own time)
• 1-2 short (1½-2 hour) sessions per week
• ‘Hill Repeats’ to build strength
