!!!! Expressions of Interest - Club Weekend away !!!!

Orwell Wheelers Weekend Away – Tullow Co. Carlow – 19th September

Just to give people notice of our planned weekend away, which is being brought forward this year to give people a chance to get away for some social interaction and cycling.

We are heading to Tullow Co Carlow and staying at the magnificent Mount Wolseley Hotel & Spa.

We have two distinct cycle routes planned as follows:

• Tullow - Glenmalure – Return via Sliabh Mann & Aughavanagh - A good Challenging 90K

• Tullow – Borris – Bike the Barrow on return leg – A Leisurely 80K



So, the plan is is to drive down on the Saturday morning and possibly have a short spin on the Sunday if people are interested. More details will follow later this week, if you are intend to travel please note on forum below.

Ok so the “ Follow me up to Carlow” weekend has been confirmed with the hotel and here are the booking details.

Saturday the 19th of September, booking under “Orwell Wheelers Cycling Club”.

Rates : Single Room 4 course Dinner B & B €149

Double / Twin Room Dinner B & B €218

Call 059 9180100, between 10am & 5.30pm, please be patient, you will get through.

Do not be disappointed and leave it too late to book, I would advise anyone thinking of travelling to book as soon as possible.

Will cycle down on Saturday at a Yellow / Steady Orange pace if anyone interested and cycle back on Sunday.
Can pick a nice route down 100km. Sunday back the N81 to Blessington and home 80 km.
