Blazing Saddles is back. Blazing Saddles is a motivational road cycling challenge running from March 5th – April 1st, 2022. Click on the link to join and we will be in touch. You will become part of a virtual team of 6 and your weekly individual cycling distance will be added up with your team members. Each week there will be an elevation additional challenge. The challenge will be announced at the start of the week, with additional points awarded.   Weekly a league table will be published.  The challenge will start on the March 5th   (Saturday). You organize your own cycle to suit yourself or as a teamThe challenge is based on an honour system.  No need for Strava/Ridewithgps recordingsDuration - Start March 5th  - Finish April 1st (4 weeks) -            
Weekly team distance challenge 
o   Week 1: March 5th – 11th  : Team distance challenge 540KM  
o   Week 2: March 12th  –  18th :  Team distance challenge 600KM 
o   Week 3: March 19th –  25th :  Team distance challenge 660KM
o   Week 4: March 26th – April 1st  :  Team distance challenge 720KM 
So for example ideally in week 1 each person will cycle 90k, however if one member can only cycle 30k other team members can make it up  the difference. forms.gle/AQ8cMTfniar8buMc7Guidelines

• This is a road cycling event 
• Teams of 6 assigned by Leisure committee.
  • Captain of each team assigned by leisure committee.
• Captain will return their team’s weekly distance by Monday of the following week confirming the total distance cycled by the team.  
• Captain’s will form a team WhatsApp group 

·       Total distance covered by team to count 

• Results published each week in arrears 
• You must be a Orwell member to join  
• Closing date for entries – February 27th
