Orwell Track Champs Sign-on

The Orwell Track Championships will happen on Sunday 23rd September. This is a great chance to come and try your hand at track racing. Riders of all categories are eligible as long as you have completed track accreditation at Sundrive.

The format will be a 4-event Omnium with a mix of sprint, endurance and individual timed events.

We will try to split the races depending on ability so that anyone is in with a chance of placing in races and winning the overall championship. Each round will have an approximately equal number of available points and the rider (Junior, Men's or Women's) with the most points wins the overall.

Depending on the weather and time we will have the following events:

• Flying 200m TT
• 2 and 3-up match sprints (opponents based on flying 200 times)
• Scratch race
• Kilo dash

Sign on 9-930, racing starts at 10. See you there!

Here is the plan for tomorrow and the points for placings in each event. Sign on until 9:30 and racing starts at 10.

There will be 3 groups: U12/U14, A and B groups. The A and B groups will be finalised after the first event:

1 Flying 200m - 10,6,4,2 for first 4 in each group
2 1km race - 10,6,4,2 for first 4 in each group
3 3 up/2up sprints - 2 races each, 3 for 1st, 1 for 2nd
4 H/cap race - 20,12,8,4 for first 4 across line
