Racing Skills Workshop was created by Louise Keane
Dick O'Brien will be running a Racing Workshop in Corkagh Park on Saturday the 6th of April.

Starting at 9am this is a great opportunity for anyone thinking of giving the Club League a go this year. It is also a chance for more experienced racers to hone their skills and get race ready after the winter.

The session will cover bunch riding, bike handling, cornering, and race tactics. There will also be a chance to do some practice races at the end.

This is open to all club members and sign on will be in Corkagh Park on the day.

Just a reminder that this is happening on Saturday morning. Open to all members, sign-on on the morning. If you're interested in coming, reply here. Will help me get an idea of numbers.

First league race is Thursday night, a TT on Pine Forrest Road. Details here: www.orwellwheelers.org/forum/racing/7258...und-1-pine-forest-tt

For the first four rounds of the league, you can enter on the night, €5 per race. Limited Competition or Open Competition Cycling Ireland Licence required.

If you ever want to practice in Corkagh Park again, the track is open to the public apart from when it's booked (check www.cyclingireland.ie/page/about/corkagh-pk).

You might end up sharing it with any kind of other people, so don't be annoyed if your sprint efforts are impossible because of a 3yr old on the track. ;)

A great turn out in Corkagh Park today for the Racing Skill Workshop! Thanks to Dick O’Brien for organising it and to Brian Mc & Gar Connolly for helping out.

Watch out for these guys in the club league especially Owen McNamee who won the final race in style!
