Yola 200 - Saturday 12th September

Following on from Sundays Coastal Classique 200 we wanted to offer folks the opportunity to join the Yola 200 as a no drop group ride. This is to allow people who have not experienced audaxing to do so in the company of more experienced riders who can offer support and answer questions.

The Yola 200 is another route which is accessible to novices. Starting out in Kilmuckridge, Co. Wexford it takes in Kilmore Quay, Hook Peninsula and Balyhack (for the only meaningful climb on the route). The route should not be too challenging for any of our club riders with only 1600m of climbing over 200km.

Post here if interested and specify pace group (we’ll adapt the pace/split the group according to interest).

Weather permitting I will do it! Dark yellow like your dehydrated!! Or miwadi orange - am easy though haven’t done 200 in a long long time but 1600 is very manageable over 200 (I hope !)

As a complete novice I am very interested in this one given the no drop / experienced support and offer of similar to come. Did a 200 last year . Nothing like that at all since. I will register but given tonight’s news I ack it may not go ahead.

Hi Joe,
The idea is to create an easy on ramp for people to experience Audax so you’re very welcome.

Naturally, we will be at the mercy of whatever restrictions are to come and the instructions/guidance from various bodies including our own club. Let’s see what transpires over the coming weeks.
