On the vexed theological question of the coffee stop, I think I have arrived at an ecumenical solution of having an optional coffee stop in the latter third of the spin. That way people don't have too far to get home in a reduced group.
I have discussed this matter with Brother Greene, the self-appointed ring leader of the coffee stop sect and he seems amenable to the compromise.

On route this morning to Dundrum from rathgar along orwell Road at the junction for Mt Carmel Hospital i noticed a oil spill on the road.
Again at the start of old long hill heading to roundwood there was spots of oil on road so becareful if your descending from roundwood into enniskerry
I reckon its that time of year and there's NO odour from home heating oil

The Leisure Rep (blessings and peace be upon him) had asked me to remind you before starting out that club policy for spins is that you should wear an identity wristband - a sensible precaution in case of accident. You can get them from Cycling Ireland or from a variety of websites. I'd forgotten to give you this reminder - this is my attempt to make amends.

I have created 2 events for each of White, Yellow & Orange
(Im not going to risk classifying people at race pace).
The naming should be fairly obvious
Winter Sunday Red 31 Oct
Winter Sunday Fast Orange 31 Oct
Winter Sunday Steady Orange 31 Oct
Winter Sunday Regular Yellow 31 Oct
Winter Sunday Mellow Yellow 31 Oct
Winter Sunday White Knuckles 31 Oct
Winter Sunday Snow Whites 31 Oct
The idea is to get people to identify roughly where the sit within a colour
This may help the dispatcher on Sunday morning
Please sign up for the group that matches the pace you would like to ride at
With so many people away, there will be no formal spins on the weekend of 7th Nov
Normal service (one event per colour) will resume on 14th Nov
