Some Orwellians are doing the Tour of Kildare next Sunday - 9.30 am start fromNaas. It is a 110km spin relatively flat so if anyone wants to join up in a group just look out for the Orwell kit.

Hi Jenny,

The starting point is Kildare County Council Devoy Quarter Naas - W91 X77F - near the Osprey Hotel in the centre of the town.

On the Naas facebook page there is a reference to the 110 km route being 118 km.

They say that "most of is flat but some short sharp roads await".

Been meaning for years to do this - supposed to be the flattest sportive around. Online booking closed already - odd. www.mariekeating.ie/events/martin-earley...r-of-kildare-2019-2/ But: 'YOU CAN REGISTER ON THE DAY FROM 8A.M.' at the Naas Court hotel. I'll turn up around 9.15 & hope to see some friendly greenish cycling jackets. Do we have to pay extra to get into your group, Fran?

Good on you, Jenny - ludicrous that two event-related websites are saying different things & doubtless losing customers as a result. Hope to meet you on Sunday.

Still don't know whether Fran is going to be demanding money for the privilege of trying to keep up with him.

Also, I just heard from someone in the Naas cycling club (the club organing the sportive) that the cyclist limit has been increased from 150 to 200, so you may be able to sign up now.

Just to confirm - the 110 km Tour of Kildare happens to be 117 km.

Looks like we will have good numbers and great weather.

Don't forget the sun cream and the extra bottle of water!!!!
