YOUTHS:

Ras na nOg Team 2018

Following on from the successes of the Waller Cup and the Youth Tour of Scotland it is another busy weekend ahead for our youths! Rás na nÓg is the premier annual stage race event for Ireland’s elite youth riders. It is a two day, three stage event with race headquarters located at Bellewstown Racecourse, County Meath.

"This is the 12th edition of Rás na nÓg, first started in 2007. Participants and winners have gone on to become renowned international cyclists, world tour riders, European and World medallists. Although there must be winners (and losers!), Rás na nÓg aims to develop every youth cyclist and allow them the opportunity tochallenge themselves during the weekend. This race is not just about the winners, or the losers, Rás na nÓg focuses on keeping our youths interested in the sport and making sure they progress to junior and senior with the same interest that they have now!" Week 1 of the Women's League saw 51 women sign on for the opening round TT in Batterstown. We haven't seen numbers like these since the years when the League was in the Sandyford Industrial Estate and so we are looking forward to seeing how many will sign on this Tuesday night in Corkagh Park.

Sign on will be open from 6.20pm for the B's and the racing will start at 7pm. An email with full details will be sent out to anyone who has signed up in advance via the Google Doc and information will also be posted on the club website on Sunday/Monday.

IVCA:

This weekend the IVCA racing takes place in Kilcullen with sign on from 8am in the Community Hall on the Newbridge Rd and racing starting at 9am. Some great results have been coming in this year - we are looking forward to more photos of winning salutes!

This event isn't taking place until Friday the 26th of April but start getting your teams organised and get the books out now:)
