The 2019 Scott Orwell Wheelers Table Quiz will take place on Friday the 26th of April in The Union Cafe, the Beacon South Quarter, Sandyford.

Teams of 4, €10 per person. Come with a team or come solo - teams can be put together on the night.

Questions will be on cycling, general knowledge and anything else our Quiz Master can conjure up. There are overall prizes, spot prizes and a raffle too!

It’s always good fun, a great way to meet your club mates and raise money for special events this year.  Monies raised will go towards events such as helping. The Ras na mBan Team, the Audax Crew’s assault on PBP, helping our Youth & Junior riders and many more. We are also hoping to support our local chosen charity - the Dundrum Arch club.

Sunday Youth Spins - Sunday 28th April

Meeting at Joe Dalys at 10:00 for the first Sunday spin of the season. These spins are open to all children who are comfortable riding on the public roads in a group and are capable of doing at least 30k at a comfortable pace- that would be at least a meandering route to Enniskerry and back.

Older riders can expect to see the likes of Piperstown, Featherbeds , Glencree and on a good day Sally Gap. The exact routes , distances and pace depend on who is there and how many leaders we have. Ideally we would have 2 groups aiming for a common meeting place.

Parents are welcome along. We aim to be back to between 12 and 12.30 .

LEISURE:

The big event on the Leisure Calander next week is of course the Orwell Randonnee on May the 4th!! If you aren't Marshaling then you should be riding. There are 2 options again this year - the full fat and lite, although in reality the lite is far from lite!! Full details are on the club website home page. Give our happy marshals a wave and a thank you as you ride by, see you in Laragh for some Carrot cake and back in Stepaside for a hearty burger after.

Details including routes: https://www.orwellwheelers.org/events/randonnee/1228-the-orwell-randonnee-2019
