Geoghegan and Surdival in the prizes again

Usher Irish Road Club St. Patricks Day Race, Dunboyne, Co. Meath
Carrick Cabs Cup, Carrick On Suir, Co. Tipperary
17 March 2009

Michelle Geoghegan and Stephen Surdival were to the fore again on St Patrick's Day, getting amongst the prizes in Dunboyne and Carrick-on-Suir respectively.

Geoghegan was on target in the annual Usher Irish Road Club handicap race, taking the women's spoils safely in the main group after the huge entry converged for a bunch sprint behind three breakaway riders at the end of 40 miles.

Meanwhile, following his trip to Donegal last weekend, Surdival clocked up more miles in his quest for suitable racing and made the trip to Tipperary worthwhile with a tenth place finish in the Carrick Cabs Cup promoted by Dan Morrissey Carrick Wheelers.
