After tagging on to the lead duo who jumped across from the A1/A2/A3 group in the Mountnugent GP Handicap Race in Co Cavan last Saturday week, Quigley coaxed cramping legs to the line in sixth place.
A further foray to Ulster last Saturday netted another envelope in the Madigan GP A4 race in Carrickfergus where the organisers helpfully put the finish line 250 metres after a ninety degree left turn at the bottom of a 80km/h descent.
With the aid of a ‘last of the late brakers’ move into the final turn, Quigley hung on for fourth place, second in the group sprint behind a breakaway duo.
