Following another very successful running of the Orwell Randonnée in May, members of the organizing committee met with this year’s chosen charity recently to present the proceeds .

The charity selected this year was the Ross Nugent foundation which was set up by Don and Sandra Nugent following the tragic death of their son Ross. The charity raise money to buy equipment for oncology wards in Beaumont and other hospitals, a goal Ross never had the chance to realise.

This year, the Randonnée managed to raise 3000 euros for this very worthwhile and local charity, and the organisers look forward to working with the group next year.
