We're getting close to the 2015 World Track Masters event, so the time is ripe for a trip down memory lane. At the event last year, Orla Hendron claimed another World Championship title to add to her 2010 gold, this time in the 2k Pursuit. She also earned a brace of silver medals from the Scratch and Points events. If you've forgotten the buzz at the time, or weren't in the club, have a quick read below.

Hendron didn't get a moment's rest after her World Champs win. As soon as she got home there was a crowd of well-wishers thronging her south Dublin apartment. There was an impromptu photoshoot with Orla in her rainbow band skinsuit. You can also see photos from a special visit to Andy Kenny's spin classes.

Next it was recognition at the CI Awards night for 2014, where she was nominated for Coach of the Year for her tireless work with the young women taking up cycling at the youth and junior levels. She lost out to Dan Curtain, but received a Special Achievement award.

Then she was off to Gorey CC to help launch the new cycling club founded there, along with Sean Kelly. The club have a report, and there's plenty of photos on Facebook.

Finally you can find interviews with her on:

So now it just remains for us to wish Orla the very best of luck this year - the whole club is rooting for you!
