Keith was well known and loved on both the leisure and racing sides of the club after joining in 2011. He was a fun-loving, positive presence on spins, and developed a strong sprint to earn an upgrade to A3 in his brief seasons as a racer. He described his time in Orwell as some of his happiest days.
His positive outlook did not diminish with his cancer diagnosis, and he never stopped fighting or let the cancer keep him down. He planned a return to road racing even after his first back surgery, and trialled a handcycle after losing the use of his legs.
The largest gathering of Orwell ever for a fundraiser for Keith in 2015 showed the love members had for him, and the admiration for the courage he showed in his life. He remained an active member and supporter of the club even when off the bike, and will be deeply missed.
Our condolences to his wife Emma, son Thomas, young daughter Sarah Jane and all his family and friends. Ken O'Neill has been a constant companion for Keith and his family over the last few years, and we extend particular sympathies to him. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

Was the proudest moment of all our Orwell lives to see so many people come out that beautiful Sunday morning in September 2015.
Rest well Keith, we will miss everything about you.
Deepest sympathy to his whole family and to his special pal Ken who went above and beyond at every opportunity.

He put up such a brave fight and always said how much he missed cycling with the club. Very sad to hear of his passing.

Since he joined the club about 5 years ago he has been a great supporter of the club at all our activities, social, leisure and racing. Whatever he did was done with a smile on his face and committment in his heart. Our thoughts will be with you always Keith.
He will be missed by everyone in Orwell.
On behalf of his club may I pass our condolences to Emma, Thomas, Sarah Jane, all his family and friends.

My sympathies to Keith's family and close friends. I did not know Keith well, but on the few times I cycled with him he was great company. I will always remember watching him sprint off the front of a red cycle on the way home one day, just outside Maynooth. He slowed down after a while and we all caught up with him and I asked him how he managed to do it and why? and he just coolly said because he could, Cool as f**k. You will be missed.
