Best of luck to Ronan Grimes who is representing Ireland at the ParaCycling World Track Championships in Canada this week. 2020 is a big year for Ronan as he works towards the Para Olympics later this Summer.

Ronan will compete in the Kilo TT, the Flying 200, Pursuit and the Scratch Race. Ronan's first race of the Championships is at 8.10pm on Thursday the 30th of Jan.

The Kilo TT Results:

‪GB rider & world record holder Jody Candy takes the win at the world track champs C4 Kilo TT and 8th place for Ronan Grimes.

A fantastic ride by Ronan and it looks like he has set a new Irish Record of 1:09.438, beating his previous time of 1:11.595.

Friday 31st

No rest for Ronan - back in action again tonight! It’s the 200m and he is in the evening session which starts from about 9pm Irish time.

‪6th place for Ronan Grimes in the 200m TT tonight in Canada at the ParaCycling Track World Championships! Another great result.

Ronan is back on the track again tomorrow morning for the Pursuit qualifying round. ‬

Ronan has done it!!!!!

Huge performance by Ronan Grimes who has won bronze in the C4 Individual Pursuit at the UCI Para-cycling World Championships

Ronan set a PB in qualifying but went even better in the bronze medal ride clocking 4:43.806 and averaging 50.739kph

Well done and massively well deserved Ronan!! And good luck in the Scratch Race tomorrow too:)

Sunday 2nd Feb:

Ronan Grimes signs off at the ParaCycling Track World Championships with 6th place in the Scratch Race narrowly missing out on a medal in a sprint finish.

A strong showing in the TT, 200m, Pursuit & Scratch sees him take 6th in the Omnium on 128points

Well done Ronan - fantastic start to the year!
